The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs regularly organises Information Days where the visitors are provided with the information on the process of naturalisation and acquisition of the citizenship, as well as are offered the opportunity to make sure of their readiness for tests, by completing similar tests samples, and to get acquainted with the entire procedure.

During the Information Days visitors can get acquainted with:

  • the procedure for testing fluency in the Latvian language laid down in the Citizenship Law – by completing task samples to test listening, reading and writing skills, as well as to try completing samples of the speaking test.

  • the procedure for testing basic principles of the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia, the text of the National Anthem, and the basics of the history and culture of Latvia as laid down in the Citizenship Law – by completing task samples to test the knowledge of the basic principles of the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia, and the basics of the history and culture of Latvia.
