Project Objective:
To improve the quality of the information technology used in the visa processing procedure and to provide the system users with an appropriate working environment, necessary training, and consultations on current EU visa application processing issues, as well as easily accessible information for visa applicants on the visa application process.
Expected Results:
- to improve the software of the NVIS to meet the technical requirements set by the European Commission;
- to equip visa application processing workplaces by installing new technical equipment for visa application processing at the territorial divisions of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – OCMA), border checkpoints of the State Border Guard (hereinafter – SBG), and consular missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereinafter – MFA);
- to train and advise the NVIS users on both system updates and the new visa application processing technology;
- to develop informational material to facilitate visa applicants’ access to information on visa types and categories, conditions for visa issuance, and other relevant topics.
