Customer service at the Office is provided in Latvian. Temporary residence permit services are provided in Latvian or English. If a client applying for a temporary residence permit does not speak Latvian, they have the right to be accompanied by a person who can assist with communication and provide translation into Latvian.
It is possible to issue a citizen's and non-citizen's passport or eID card in the Valka division according to the queue, i.e. going to the division without making an appointment in advance.
You can apply for a permanent residence permit and a temporary residence permit (photograph, biometric data) according to the queue, i.e. going to the division without making an appointment in advance.

Smiltene branch
- In Smiltene branch, at Dārza Street 11, on the 1st floor, you can issue and receive a personal identification document every Tuesday.
