The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – the OCMA) has launched a European Union fund project titled “Enhancing Asylum Seeker Reception Standards for the Implementation of the Migration and Asylum Pact.” The aim of the project is to modernize the infrastructure for receiving asylum seekers and to improve the provision of support to persons in need of international protection.

Over the next four years, until December 31, 2029, the OCMA, in cooperation with the State Provision Agency, will implement significant improvements to the infrastructure of accommodation centers. Plans include technical renovation of buildings and their adaptation to the new requirements of the Migration and Asylum Pact, as well as the procurement of modern technical equipment and inventory to ensure the operation of the centers.

Special attention within the project will be given to vulnerable groups, including families with children and persons with special reception needs, by providing targeted support measures and solutions to facilitate asylum procedures.

The total budget of Project No. PMLP/MPP/PMIF/2026/1 “Enhancing Asylum Seeker Reception Standards for the Implementation of the Migration and Asylum Pact” consists of €5,534,842 in funding from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and €1,844,948 in co-financing from the state budget.
