!!! Belarus and Russia are included in the list of countries, the application of citizens of which for visa and residence permit are subject to in-depth examination. Additional checks apply to both invitations as well as any visa application and these additional checks extend the processing time of the application.
!!! The visa application documents for citizens of Belarus and the Russian Federation should be enclosed with a questionnaire filled in personally by the foreigner and the documents specified in the appendix should be submitted in addition (see below). Questions are in Latvian and answers to them should be provided in Latvian. If the requested information will not be submitted, the decision will be made to refuse visa.

!!! Restrictions - issue of visas for citizens of Belarus and Russian Federation is limited:
- visas for employment are not issued to the citizens of the Russian Federation. This restriction is subject also to the permanent visas (D visas) for performance of remote work.
