1. Can a child born abroad acquire the Latvian citizenship?
A child, who was born abroad, may acquire the Latvian citizenship if one or both parents are citizens of Latvia at the time of birth of the child.
2. How to register a child born abroad as the citizen of Latvia?
A part of the child needs to submit a submission, certificate of birth of the child, documents confirming the identity of the parents and the personal identification document of the child (if any) to OCMA. 3. Where the document can be submitted for registering a child born abroad as the citizen of Latvia?
- electronically by using the official service eAddress;
