Covid-19 News

The emergency situation has ended in the country; however, several restrictions are still in effect. These restrictions are stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 360 “Epidemiological Safety Measures for the Containment of the Spread of COVID-19 Infection”.

“56.1 If a person can document that he or she has been ill with Covid-19 and has recovered, the therapist may decide that the person cannot maintain self-isolation as specified in paragraph 56 of the Regulation and issue or send Form No. 027 / u with the following entry: "I certify that (name of person) as of ... (date) 2020 is not subject to self-isolation."

Certificates issued by a doctor abroad are not valid.

The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) reminds that the law states – a visit to OCMA shall be postponed, if you have returned from abroad and a 10-day quarantine has to be observed, if a 10-day home quarantine is implemented, or strict isolation has to be observed.

Paragraph 56 of these Regulations state: if within the last 14 days the person has stayed in any of the countries published on the website of CDPC to which special precautionary and restrictive measures are applicable, he or she shall ensure self-isolation at the place of residence or another place of stay for 10 days after departure from the abovementioned country.

Special precautionary and restrictive measures apply to higher risk countries, where the so-called cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the last two weeks has exceeded 16 persons per 100 thousand residents (this was the average indicator of Covid-19 cases per 100 thousand residents in EU on 15 June). A list of infection indicators abroad is updated on a weekly basis – on Friday – in close cooperation with Lithuania and Estonia, and is published on the website of CDPC.

The State Police informs that upon receiving information on persons who do not observe the self-isolation obligation after returning from abroad it reacts and checks each case respectively.
