Title: Project “Support for repatriates - Third country nationals”

Implementing Authority: Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – OCMA)

Priority and Action: Priority Nr.1: the implementation of enterprises that are planned to apply in practice total basic principles of EU immigrants’ integration policy.

Action 1.3: The output of programs and the ensuring of services for special Third- country nationals groups (for children, women, older people, uneducated persons and for people with special needs).

Implementation period: 01/07/2009 - 30/04/2010

Expenses: 85 018, 85 LVL

General goal: Promote repatriates- Third country nationals adaptation and integration process in Latvia’s society. 

Specific goal: To repatriates- Third country nationals, who just arrived to Latvia ensure:

• Necessary material and social support;
• Possibility to increase the knowledge of Latvian language and knowledge about Latvian culture;
• Possibility to successfully take part in labour market.

Scheduled activities:

• Provide the consultations of psychologist for adults and organize integration camp for youth;
• Offer support in questions connected with settlement of lodging;
• Offer help in organizing some medical questions, material support for medicament acquisition, as well as for medical services to low-income repatriates;
• Organize the training for Latvian language acquisition, revenging the road expenses;
• To carry out the necessary translation for needs of target group;
• To carry out the audit of  skills;
• Organize the course of computer tuition;
• Offer another kind of help that is current when repatriates arrive to country.

Target group:

• Third- country nationals repatriates, who just arrived to Latvia and their families;
• Establishments and institutions involved in the Integration issues salvation of Third- country nationals.
