If an individual wishes to obtain citizenship of Latvia, he or she must submit the following:
- An application with a request to grant citizenship of Latvia;
- Birth certificate or an excerpt from the Birth Register. If the individual was born abroad, his or her birth certificate must be translated into the official language and legalized in accordance with the procedure provided for in regulatory enactments;
- A personal identification document (if any);
- A document certifying the individual’s rights to obtain citizenship of Latvia;
- Curriculum vitae.
