Riga 1st division

Customer service at the Office is provided in Latvian. Temporary residence permit services are provided in Latvian or English. If a client applying for a temporary residence permit does not speak Latvian, they have the right to be accompanied by a person who can assist with communication and provide translation into Latvian.

There are three ways to issue and receive citizen's and non-citizen's passport and eID card  in the Riga 1st division:

• according to the queue, i.e. going to the division without making an appointment in advance;
• joining the remote queue for issuing or receiving a passport and eID card on the given day, using the Qticket mobile app;
• by making a previous appointment for a specific day and time here. 

You can apply for a permanent residence permit and a temporary residence permit (photograph, biometric data) in three ways:

• according to the queue, i.e. going to the division without making an appointment in advance;

• by making a previous appointment for a specific day and time here.

Riga 1st division is suitable for receiving services for persons in wheelchairs and visitors with baby carriages.

Sigulda branch

In the Sigulda branch, at Raina street 3, issuing of identity documents can be done once a week - on wednesdays.

The service can only be received by prior appointment, which can be done:

• by calling the Riga 1st division phone number 67829750 or
• by making a previous appointment for a specific day and time here.
